Built for the practice, and the person doing it.
A house for hot yoga, pilates and recovery in Bangalore — two studios built so a serious practice can fit a modern life.

— Behind the house
Yashika Ved, from practice to purpose.
Ignite + Aliign was founded by Yashika Ved, a yoga practitioner and teacher whose path through yoga spans more than two decades. Her formal study began at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar (Yogic Science and Psychology, 2006–09), followed by an MBA — and years of teaching yoga and leading workplace-wellbeing programmes in Gurgaon — before a Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Therapy at S-VYASA, Bengaluru. Her professional experience includes Medanta’s disease-reversal and lifestyle-health programmes, where her contribution was the yoga and lifestyle-practice component alongside the hospital’s clinical teams.
Her own training deepened in Mysore — multiple 500-hour teacher trainings, advanced Ashtanga study, and Vinyasa and Prana Vashya under Vinay Kumar, one of Mysore’s well-known and respected teachers — followed by teaching years in California and, in 2023, Original Hot Yoga teacher training (the 26+2 sequence) in Khao Lak, Thailand.
At Ignite + Aliign she defines what the yoga should feel like: how instructors are developed, which traditions are protected, and where contemporary movement supports the traditional practice.

— The philosophy
What we believe.
These are the principles every class, every teacher and every room in the house is held to.
- 01Practice over performance
Come back to the method.
The point is not to collect difficult postures. The point is to return to a method consistently enough that it changes strength, mobility, breath, attention and behaviour.
- 02Tradition with intelligence
Preserve the method, teach the person.
Traditional systems matter because they are coherent methods. Good teaching preserves the method while adapting instruction to the person in front of the teacher.
- 03Breath is part of the method
Breath is not decorative.
It influences rhythm, effort, recovery, attention and the ability to remain steady inside challenge. Every practice in the house is taught breath-first.
- 04The heated rooms
Heat is a tool, not the goal.
A heated room creates a particular physical and mental demand — and the method still depends on technique, pacing, hydration, recovery and good instruction.
A premium practice house, built for consistency.
Ignite + Aliign is a premium hot yoga, pilates and recovery house with two studios in Bangalore. The Ulsoor Lake flagship carries the full range — hot yoga, reformer and mat Pilates, traditional Mysore-style Ashtanga, and a recovery floor with the cold plunge, IV drips by REVIV, 9D breathwork and La Verde, our in-house café. Brookfield, in Whitefield, runs hot yoga, mat Pilates and the cold plunge.
Everything here follows one conviction: a practice has value only when it can be repeated consistently enough to create change. So we built an environment designed to make consistency easier — serious rooms, senior teachers, deliberately small classes, and recovery treated as part of the practice rather than an afterthought.
— The teaching standard
Teachers who are still students.
Every discipline in the house is led by teachers who maintain their own daily practice and their own lineage — teachers who are still students. The standard is the same across the hot room, the reformer studio, the Ashtanga shala and the recovery floor: the method is respected, and the person in front of the teacher comes first.
Classes stay small on purpose: a teacher can only teach the students they can see.
